Week of Spritual Emphasis at Auburn

During the second week in September, students on the Junior campus were involved in a Week of Spiritual Emphasis (WOSE).  The three day theme was “Jesus – Our Super-hero” and Pr Daren Pratt spent each day talking with the students about who Jesus can be for them.  Mrs Nawaikalou and the Y5 and Y6 students from middle school joined with the junior students and ministered to them through music, drama, puppets and poetry.

Each child was given their own super-cap which replaced the typical Superman “S” with a “J” – representing Jesus as the real super-hero.  By the end of the week, each child was able to see Jesus as the true super-hero – the only one who can be fully relied on all the time.

The week ended with a party celebrating the friendship of Jesus. 

Once again, WOSE made a difference as the children came to better understand Jesus as their all-time friend and hero.
