Mary An, year 7 student:
"I like the teachers at SAC because they are kind. I have made many good friends. Eileen is my best friend. She is kind and she smiles all the time. On my first day here she asked me lots of questions."

"Our school has many school special events like W.O.S.E (Week of Spiritual Emphasis), barbeques etc. The school does many things for us and the teachers are very kind but I don’t like the school rule about haircuts. The students are very kind because they care about each other. They are kind and help me study and learn English."

Cheng Yang Zhu, year 10 student:
"The first time I came to this school I was in level 3. I have been here for about four months. Now I am a level 4 student and I will graduate from ACE in three more weeks. Students and teachers in ACE all get on very well. I find that they are all very kind and friendly. Although we are all from different countries we can use English to understand each other or use body language to talk with. I really like this school, we learn together, play together and I enjoy life in this way. But I don’t like one thing: that the girls have to wear skirts in winter. I think it’s quite cold for me. Except for this everything else looks good!!"

Yuki Fukui, year 10 student visitor:
"I really like my friends and teachers in ACE. The teachers prepare ‘Pizza’ parties and ‘Birthday’ parties for us. I always enjoy coming to school. In ACE there are no Japanese friends except for me, so I speak English all day long. My Chinese friends and Korean friends teach me their languages so I can learn Korean and Chinese as well. Especially in the class of Mrs Hernandez, I become happy because her class makes me happy every time. Every time I don’t feel bored. Thank you Miss!"

"I liked everything at ACE, especially I liked the worksheets that Ms Pavez gave us…also Mrs Davey. I loved both of them. I was really comfortable while I was studying there. Ms Pavez taught us how to write a lot of Essays….I loved ACE……..I miss the celebrations too!"

"I liked the work at ACE, especially team work because I could learn a lot and make many friends…..the most important thing is that the teachers are so patient that students can learn very well. I miss the celebrations at ACE because they were the happiest times. We had lots of food and drinks and had fun……the excursions were good too."
